Rotator Cuffs, Range of Motion

A number of years ago, in totally unrelated incidents, I tore both my rotator cuffs. After surgical repairs, I spent many hours and endured lots of pain in rehab therapy. While rehab returned both shoulders to functionality, my range of motion never attained more than 75% normal. I learned to live with this.

More recently, however, my right shoulder began to pain such that I felt my doctor should look at it. After his review, he suggested either of two procedures or both โ€“ expensive shots and/or surgery. My response to both was โ€œnoโ€, I will try therapy.
I elected Myofascial Release Therapy with Izabela.

After my first session with Izabela, I wondered whether such gentle hands-on pressures with an occasional deep tissue manipulation would, in fact, give me the relief I was seeking. I never posed this question to Izabela, but rather continued my sessions with her. My faith in Izabela strengthened as the pain in my right shoulder began to subside, and was beginning to feel normal again. She continues working with me to improve my range of motion in both shoulders, relieve recurring pains in my left shoulder, and stiffness in my neck.
