D.I.S.H. Syndrome / Rebounding Muscle Tightness Mind-Body Clinic Follow-up
The format for Izabela’s what is now called Mind-Body Clinic sessions is much different than her hands-on Myofascial Release Physical Therapy (MFR) approach, but in my first experience, it was just as beneficial. Viewing laptop screens of each other, and answering Izabela’s usual first question of how I was doing, was a warm beginning to the session.
While 10 miles apart, I still felt the energy of her care and then the session began, with each of us closing our eyes in a meditative manner, while positioning a therapy ball at the vertical level of my heart and pressing from the support of my chair into my back. The moderate pressure of the therapy ball acted as a physical anchor for my focus and a visual mind anchor for Izabela’s connection. It was Izabela’s voice that created the other session anchor for me, enabling me to maintain focus on the energy within myself, as together, through her words, and my attention, we scanned my body.
The pressure of the ball pressing into my back offered physical release, and, the journey of my thoughts, grounded by my breath, and that ended heart-centered, brought a sense of inner peace. Before I knew it, the session had ended and I had a more relaxed back and a bit happier soul.
My first Mind-Body Clinic experience reinforced my opinion that MFR (no matter if in-person or Mind-Body Clinic) is very much driven by a strong mind-body connection within myself. I have learned from Izabela that healing is largely an inner journey, and guided by her, formerly in person and now through her Mind-Body Clinic, I can still make great progress towards heart-centered self-awareness and optimal management of my health challenges.
My Mind-Body Clinic session was excellent and an effective one-on-one treatment
